During the past few weeks, we’ve had the chance to give back in ways that feel close to our hearts. From meals for those in need and planting trees, to helping young pupils get the tech tools they deserve, here’s a look at what we’ve been up to and why it matters to us.
Turning Visits into Meals: Partnering with O Masa Calda at Noaptea Companiilor
During Noaptea Companiilor, we opened our doors and welcomed everyone in. But we wanted this event to be more than just a tour of our office. So, we came up with a simple idea: for every person who came by, we’d donate a meal to O Masa Calda. This local organization does amazing work, providing meals for people in Cluj who need our support.
The Result? 270 meals, one for every visitor, prepared and served by O Masa Calda to those who need it most. Many of our team stuck around during Noaptea Companiilor to chat with visitors about the campaign and share what it means to us. The positive response from everyone who stopped by made the experience even more impactful, with many expressing pride in contributing to this cause. Getting Our Hands Dirty (Literally): Planting Trees in Deleni, Cluj
On the 2nd of November, we teamed up with CERT and Accesa for a massive tree-planting effort near Deleni, Cluj. The goal? Plant 10,000 trees to help stabilize an area at risk of landslides. We invited family, friends, and colleagues, and before we knew it, we had a whole crew ready to dig in - literally. We had around 60 team members out there, alongside friends and family, turning a sunny Saturday into a day that’ll have an impact for a long time.
This day was about creating something lasting, dedicated to something we all deeply value: the nature that surrounds us and supports us every day. It was about taking a step back to recognize that everything around us starts with nature. From the air we breathe to the land we walk on, nature is the foundation of our lives and communities.
Those 10,000 trees will hopefully grow to protect and enrich the land for years to come. Plus, it was the perfect chance for us to step away from our screens, enjoy a day outside, and celebrate it as a community who came together to make a tangible impact on our environment.
Boosting Tech for Young Minds: Laptops for Rasca’s IT Lab
We accepted an invitation from Romanian Business Leaders to join their IT Labs project, aimed at improving IT education in underserved areas. When we learned about this initiative, we recognized a meaningful way to contribute. Schools, especially those in small villages across Romania, often need better equipment to provide quality education. To support this, we refurbished and donated 11 laptops to a school in Rasca. Now, these students have access to updated tools, allowing them to focus on learning and growth without tech limitations holding them back.
What’s Changed? Those 11 laptops are now giving students a better opportunity to dive into their Informatics courses with the resources they need. It’s a small step toward leveling the playing field, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to contribute.
Involving companies in education is essential, especially when it comes to bridging resource gaps in underserved areas. By providing tools, expertise, or direct support, companies can help create a more equitable educational environment. Supporting education means investing in the next generation and empowering students with skills that will help them thrive.
